In-person consultation
Scalp and donor exam with Dr. Ruiz Medina at our Wilshire Blvd office, plus blood work. You leave with a written plan: your graft count and a fixed price. You pay nothing until you're sure.
Step 2 · Tijuana, 3 days
Your procedure
A private car picks you up at home. FUE surgery with Dr. Ruiz Medina the next morning, a check and first wash the day after, then the car drives you back to LA.
Step 3 · Los Angeles, 12 months
Follow-up with Dr. Kim
In-person visits on day 10 and at months 3, 6 and 12, plus a 24/7 care line. If something feels wrong, you're seen in LA within 24 hours on weekdays. What's covered

What patients ask us first.
Am I a good candidate for a hair transplant?
It depends on your donor area, your pattern of loss and whether it is still progressing. That is exactly what the free assessment covers. If a transplant isn't the right move yet, we'll tell you and explain the alternatives.
What happens if something goes wrong after I'm home?
Text or call the care line any time. A nurse answers within 1 hour between 8am and 10pm, and if you need to be seen, Dr. Kim sees you in person at our LA office within 24 hours on weekdays.
Covered by Haven, $0 to you: every follow-up visit, treatment of common post-op issues (infection, folliculitis, swelling, cysts) including prescriptions, and a touch-up session at no surgical fee if your 12-month result doesn't match your written plan.
Your responsibility: emergency or hospital care in the US (billed to your health insurance), anything unrelated to the procedure, and travel costs for a touch-up. For anything urgent, call 911 or go to the nearest ER, then text us.
Is it safe to have surgery in Mexico?
It can be, if the surgeon, the facility and the aftercare are right. That's why we publish the surgeon's credentials, operate only in a licensed surgical clinic, assess you in Los Angeles before you travel, and keep following you once you're home.
Does it hurt, and when will I see results?
The procedure is done under local anesthesia and most patients describe mild discomfort. Most people are back at a desk job within 5–7 days, and redness fades within about two weeks. Transplanted hair usually sheds in the first weeks, new growth starts around month 3–4, and the final result shows at around 12 months.
What do I need to travel?
A valid passport. Our private car picks you up at home in LA, and the drive to the clinic takes about 3 hours with the border crossing. Your coordinator sends a checklist a week before.
